HI's 3D rendering engine "MascotCapsule® eruption" is adopted for the worldwide release of SQUARE ENIX's new RPG "CHAOS RINGS™" for iPhone®/iPod® touch

HI CORPORATION (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and CEO: Kazuo Kawabata) announced today that HI's 3D rendering engine "MascotCapsule eruption" has been adopted by SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and Representative Director: Yoichi Wada) for their new role-playing game "CHAOS RINGS™" that was launched worldwide exclusively for iPhone/iPod touch on April 20, 2010.

eruption is the 3D rendering engine that was produced by combining HI's technologies. It complies with the International standard Open GL® ES and features the high-speed rendering processing that maximize the capabilities of 3D hardware accelerator, the various flexible and scalable functionalities that are useful in video game development, and the graphical development tools that allow easy setup of a wide variety of representations. eruption contributes to the playfulness, the sense of reality and the world-view of CHAOS RINGS by beautiful high-speed graphics processing, which get the best performance out of iPhone/iPod touch, throughout the game, such as the beauty and texture of characters, monsters and weapons as well as smooth actions and representational effects of physical and magical attacks.
