HI and Samsung sign worldwide license for MascotCapsule®
Tokyo, Japan -HI CORPORATION (Headquarter: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kazuo Kawabata hereinafter "HI") announced today that the company has executed a worldwide license agreement with Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd (hereinafter "Samsung") for the use of HI's 3D graphics engine MascotCapsule® on Samsung handsets.
Samsung is the world's leading handset manufacturer and provides various kinds of mobile devices. HI and Samsung have agreed on embedding MascotCapsule® into Samsung handsets for the global market.
The first Samsung device embedded with MascotCapsule® will be released in China followed by the global releases.
Over 50 content developers including world wide major players have already started the development of 3D content using MascotCapsule®. This agreement between HI and Samsung will further expand the market for MascotCapsule® based content.
