"HI CORPORATION and Personal Media Reach Distribution Accord"
Mobile 3D rendering technology pioneer HI CORPORATION (head office: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; paid-in capital: 289.25 million yen; President & CEO: Kazuo Kawabata; http://www.hicorp.co.jp ; hereinafter "HI") and Personal Media Co., Ltd. (head office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; paid-in capital: 10 million yen; president: Tatsuya Izumina; http://www.personal-media.co.jp/ ; hereinafter "PMC") announced an agreement providing for PMC to distribute HI's 3D rendering software engine, Mascot Capsule Engine Micro3D Edition destined for the TRON market. According to the agreement, HI will port Mascot Capsule Engine Micro3D Edition to the T-Engine board distributed by PMC, and in turn PMC will distribute embedded T-Engine boards to the TRON market. The two companies also intend to introduce each otherfs products together with their own products in a market development effort.
Through this alliance, HI's 3D rendering engine will operate on PMC's T-Engine board. Consequently, every customer environment employing T-Engine will also be able to use Mascot Capsule Engine Micro3D Edition. Users of various embedded devices employing T-Engine will be able to gain 3D rendering capability and embed 3D graphics applications on those devices.
The two companies intend to launch joint marketing efforts at the TRON SHOW 2004 opening on December 11.
