HI CORPORATION and Bandai Networks to Supply First 3D Mobile Content for Telefónica Móviles's MoviStar e-moción service.
HI CORPORATION (Head Office: Meguro-Ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Kazuo Kawabata; hereafter 'HI') and Bandai Networks Co. Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-Ku, Tokyo; CEO: Satoshi Oshita; hereafter 'Bandai Networks') announced that the companies have begun supplying 3D Java games, 'Boxeo 3D' (title in Japan: 3D Boxing), on July 9, 2003 to MoviStar e-moció, the mobile data service instituted by Spain's largest mobile content provider, Telefónica Móviles España S.A. (Spain, Madrid; CEO: Javier Aguilera Arauzo; hereafter Telefónica Móviles España). This is the first 3D Java games to debut on MoviStar e-moción. Already popular in Japan, 'Dartdos 3D' (title in Japan: 3D Darts) and 'Pescatruchas 3D' (title in Japan: 3D Bass Fishing will be supplied on July 16, 2003.
Telefónica Móviles España launched their WAP utility service 'e-moción' in 2000. Beginning on June 26, 2003, i-mode service was launched to supply Spanish language content on Spain's domestic GPRS network. Bandai 3D Java games are available in juegos-videodescargas section at MoviStar e-moción menu.
HI and Bandai Networks will supply the first 3D Java content to MoviStar e-moción through Bandai S.A. and Bandai Networks.
The following provides summary descriptions of the three games, 'Dardos 3D' (3D Darts), 'Pescatruchas 3D' (3D Bass Fishing) and 'Boxeo 3D' (3D Boxing).
