HI CORPORATION Enters into Global Alliance with FueTrek
on 3D Graphics for Mobile Communication Devices

Mobile 3D rendering technology pioneer HI CORPORATION (head office: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; paid-in capital: 289 million yen; President & CEO: Kazuo Kawabata; http://www.hicorp.co.jp) and Fuetrek (head office: Yodogawa-ku, Osaka; paid-in capital: 315.5 million yen; president: Hideyuki Fujiki; http://www.fuetrek.co.jp) announced that the companies have agreed to cooperate in working on 3D graphics technologies for mobile communication devices in Japan and in marketing their products in Japan and abroad. According to this agreement, HI CORPORATION will port its Mascot Capsule Engine Micro3D Edition to the FueTrek Graphic Processor (FGP), while FueTrek will provide technology support to HI CORPORATION for the porting. The companies will also introduce each other's products when introducing their own products to customers worldwide as a market development effort.

Through this alliance HI CORPORATION's 3D graphics engine will port to FueTrek's FGP platform, making Mascot Capsule Engine Micro 3D Edition available to every user of this platform. Users will gain 3D rendering capability on their mobile phones and other mobile communication devices using FGP, and embedding of 3D graphics applications will become possible.

Moreover, the two companies have also decided on joint marketing and technology collaboration steps in Japan and abroad. It is expected that the penetration of 3D will accelerate in the mobile communication industry.
